Educator Training
Training programs, tailored to fit the specific needs of a school system, are available
upon request. The training offers teachers, counselors, psychologists, nurses, administrators
and police officers information to identify children that may be at risk because
of violence or abuse in the home. The training also informs educators about safe
and appropriate intervention techniques; where to find resources within the school
and the community; and, challenges and safety concerns related to discovery and
intervention.
Generations continues to provide training services to the Dallas Independent School
District and has received a Safe and Drug Free Schools Grant (in partnership with
DISD) from the Attorney General Office to continue the programs in the North Central
Texas area. The program may be adapted for use in any school system, both urban
and rural, and will soon be available through this site.
For more information about these services, please contact us to discuss your agency's
particular needs and the ways that we can help you to meet those needs
